Manor Royal Business District is celebrating the success of its first ever virtual Know Your Neighbour event on Wednesday 16 May. The annual ‘Know your Neighbour' event, exclusive to Manor Royal companies, welcomed virtual exhibitors and businesses from across the business district.

Now in its eighth year, the ‘Know your Neighbour' event provided a valuable opportunity for Manor Royal based organisations to improve their business networks, promote their products and hear about the changes impacting the business district. CGG, Elekta, Fastsigns, Frontier Pitts, Eezehaul, Creative Pod, Heyland & Whittle and dozens of other companies attended, including Team Sport Go Karting, who won 3 months free advertising on the Manor Royal Digital Signs. As well as the virtual exhibition, guests had an opportunity to hear about the latest BID projects and participate in virtual speed networking.

Delegates received an opening address from Henry Smith, MP for Crawley, and the chair of the Manor Royal BID, Trevor Williams from Thales UK. Both stressed the importance of Manor Royal to the local economy and jobs, as well as the value of working together as a community and the difference that has made since the BID was first created in 2013.

Steve Sawyer, Executive Director of Manor Royal BID said;

"After the disappointment of having to cancel last year, we were delighted to go virtual with our popular ‘Know Your Neighbour' event this year. The event brings together so many people from local companies giving them an opportunity to discover who their neighbours are and helping them to make valuable business connections. It's great we have managed to do this in spite of the on-going challenges and the feedback has great reflecting a more positive attitude that is beginning to emerge."
