Leading ventilation manufacturer Vent-Axia is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted in two categories in the prestigious H&V News Awards 2021.
The Vent-Axia ‘Lo-Carbon Multivent MEV Family' is a finalist in ‘Domestic Ventilation Product of the Year' category while the company's ‘COVID-19 Support Campaign' has been shortlisted for the ‘Covid Frontline Achievement of the Year' award.
Being a double finalist in these awards is testament to Manor Royal-based company's leading position in the ventilation industry, demonstrating both high quality product development and commitment to public health through improving indoor air quality (IAQ).
The H&V News Awards have been celebrating the achievements of the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry for 27 years, rewarding the most forward-thinking and innovative businesses in the sector.
The next stage of judging requires companies to present their entry to the judging panel, followed by a Q&A session. Winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony on Thursday, 11th November 2021 at the Hilton Park Lane, London.
"We are thrilled to once again be recognised with a double shortlisting at these prestigious industry awards. Our staff have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to support the industry and communicate the essential role of ventilation in mitigating virus transmission and so we are very pleased their hard work and dedication is being recognised through the shortlisting of the COVID-19 Support Campaign", said Lena Hebestreit, Marketing Manager at Vent-Axia. "We're also delighted that our new Lo-Carbon Multivent MEV Family has been shortlisted in the Domestic Ventilation Product of the Year category. It provides many benefits to housebuilders and developers, including providing a simple and effective solution to meet the Future Homes Standard in new build properties."
Vent-Axia is committed to improving public health by improving IAQ through ventilation. As the pandemic has evolved with the recognition of airborne transmission of the virus, effective ventilation has become even more vital.
The recently published "Infection Resilient Environments" report1, commissioned by the Government's Chief Scientific Advisor Sir Patrick Vallance, describes an urgent need to monitor and improve the ventilation in public buildings as a key element in the fight against COVID-19.
Vent-Axia's COVID-19 Support Campaign began in March 2020 with the company committing to going the extra mile to help in the national response against COVID-19. The company set out a three-tier plan to help support its customers and the general public by focussing on Critical Supply, Critical Communication and Critical Technical Advice. The campaign helped in the fight against COVID-19 by supplying critical projects; sharing vital ventilation guidance and information; plus offering essential expert advice to customers and businesses. The company led the way in these activities, dominating the share of voice on communications and providing expert guidance.
Vent-Axia's campaign included the critical supply of ventilation to COVID-19 hospital wards and field hospitals including the NHS Nightingale and Rainbow hospitals; critical communications with its #StayHealthy campaign and critical expert advice including its useful guide 'The Effect of Ventilation on COVID-19'.
In October 2020, Vent-Axia's COVID-19 Support Campaign was recognised as the British Chamber of Commerce named the company a ‘UK Business Hero' as part of the Chamber's campaign to recognise the incredible work UK businesses were undertaking, in the most challenging of years. The company was awarded this prestigious accolade for its valuable work during the pandemic.
Meanwhile, Vent-Axia launched the Multivent MEV family in late 2020. This new range of mechanical extract ventilation (MEV) and decentralised MEV (dMEV) provides a simple and effective solution to help housebuilders meet the Future Homes Standard. The range is the ideal solution for new build residential projects, helping housebuilders meet Dwelling Emission Rates (DER) requirements through its market-leading energy efficiency and IAQ for homeowners.
A reliable, highly efficient, quiet and easy to operate ventilation system is key to unlocking a healthier, greener future. The Vent-Axia Multivent MEV family offers just that with this highly efficient range offering a choice of eight MEV and eight dMEV models to ensure housebuilders have exactly the right ventilation for a property. Both the MEV and dMEV ranges allow installers to select flow rates to meet project requirements and the units offer an easy-to-operate control platform and extremely low operating noise. Additional benefits include increased ventilation rates, compact design, easy installation, as well as simple and accurate commissioning. With a common digital control platform throughout the range and smart accessories for use in the home, the MEV and dMEV range is a breeze to install, commission and control. Plus, the wealth of control and switching options across the range gives housebuilders the flexibility to provide a solution for any new build scenario.
