Manor Royal BID’s Christmas event at Elekta's award winning Cornerstone building in the business district raised over £1,000 for three vital local causes.
On Thursday 9 December, dozens of levy paying businesses attended the socially distanced and covid secure event at Elekta’s UK headquarters with a raffle from the night raising £1,035 for Crawley Open House, Chestnut Treehouse Children’s Hospice and St. Catherine’s Hospice.
The nearby Sandman Signature Hotel also donated a prize for the person who clocked the fastest track time on a giant Scalectrix.
Clare Silva, Operations Manager of the Manor Royal BID said;
“Thanks to companies on Manor Royal like Harwoods Jaguar Landrover, Ocean Trail and Elekta who donated raffle prizes. Because of their generosity, and the generosity of our guests, we were able to support three vital local charities who do exceptional work in our town. It was an enjoyable night and a small celebration of the kindness of the Manor Royal community.”
Tim Rose, Global Facilities Director at Elekta said;
“It was a pleasure to welcome the Manor Royal Business Community to Elekta. The last 2 years has been challenging for everyone and it was a great way to celebrate achievements and support 3 of our local charities who carry out such fantastic work within our town”.
