MCS Group are excited to announce they have reached practical completion of a new multi-million-pound warehouse development in Manor Royal.
Client Arcus-PCD appointed MCS Group for the construction of an 85,000 sq. ft. logistics unit, funded by Sixpenny Group, at the Manor Royal major employment hub in Crawley.
Consumer delivery specialist Evri, formerly Hermes UK, has signed a lease on the new distribution hub. The facility will be able to handle more than 200,000 parcels each day – twice as many as its previous site in the area. It forms part of the ongoing investment programme by Evri to expand its capacity to meet the huge demand created by the continuing growth in the sector.
Keir Edmonds, group managing director of MCS Group, said: "I would like to congratulate everyone involved in delivering an outstanding development at Manor Royal and wish Evri enormous success in its new regional hub.
"We have an excellent relationship with Arcus-PCD, going back over many years, and we were delighted to work with them once again on this prestigious negotiated contract.
"Like other contractors, we have had to face up to the twin challenges of shortages of talent and materials. We have built on longstanding relationships and strategically targeted workload through negotiated contracts.
"In the current climate, early collaboration is vital and we believe negotiated contracts work better for both MCS Group and our clients as it allows us to mitigate risk for both parties, as demonstrated with the very successful completion of this development."
