A new DPD distribution centre is set to be built in Manor Royal creating around 130 jobs. The centre is set to be built on land off Hydehurst Lane.

The plans were recommended for approval at a council meeting on November 14, but a legal agreement must first be agreed and a notification period with Gatwick Airport and the Civil Aviation Authority needs to be concluded. Should this all be resolved without issue the plans can go ahead.

Plans were submitted by Quod, a planning consultant, on behalf of UK Real Estate Fund. The new distribution centre is being built for DPD and its use has been approved for a new warehouse and storage facility.
