The Crawley Creative Playground is an Arts Council funded programme to support creative projects to make Crawley a better place to live and work. The Manor Royal BID is working with the Creative Playground to transform the Hazelwick Flyover, a key entry point to the Business District, with a large scale mural based on the history and people of Manor Royal.

We are looking for people to get involved and help to select the artist we work with and inform the design of the mural itself. You don’t have to be an artist or be able to draw, you just have to be interested in the project and have a desire to make Manor Royal a better, more attractive place to work and visit.

We want to create a really positive first and last impression for people coming into Manor Royal but we need your help to do it. You can input as much or little as you like and is likely to involve attending a workshop with the appointed artist.

Could you be a Manor Royal Playmaker?

By signing up you have the opportunity to become one of Creative Playground’s first Manor Royal Playmakers, a group of local workers who help shape future ideas for using arts and culture to create positive change in Manor Royal, and potentially across the whole town.

It is an exciting and fun opportunity to find out more about how public art is made and work with other Manor Royal colleagues to transform the Business District and make a lasting impression.
