Work is about to commence on the creation of new mural on the Hazelwick Flyover, transforming one of the busiest gateways to the town. Commissioned by Manor Royal BID in partnership with Creative Crawley, the large-scale artwork aims to create an impressive and impactful first impression for visitors, commuters, and residents alike.

A Vision for Connection and Community

The mural, designed by renowned Sussex-based artist Jac Seifert, is titled “The Place That Does It All”. It reflects the dynamic, professional, and ambitious character of Manor Royal, celebrating its unique heritage, diverse industries, and thriving community. The artwork is designed to:

A Collaborative Creative Process

Jac Seifert, founder of Orakel Workshop, has drawn inspiration from the people and industries that define Manor Royal. Having grown up in Sussex and attended school in Crawley, Jac brings a personal connection to the project, ensuring the mural resonates deeply with the local community.

Installation Timeline and Traffic Management

The mural installation will take place from March 3, 2025, to March 31, 2025, subject to weather conditions. To minimize disruption, the following traffic measures will be in place:

Completing the Gateway 1 Upgrade

Once complete, the mural will mark the final phase of improvements to Gateway 1, which includes enhancements to the south entrance of Crawter’s Brook People’s Park. This initiative is part of a broader effort to elevate Manor Royal’s visual appeal and strengthen its identity as a key economic hub in the South East.
